Bush Roses

Hybrid Teas have large beautifully shaped flowers with a high degree of symmetry. The blooms are borne on single stems, making them an excellent choice for cut flowers as they will repeat flower throughout the summer. Hybrid Teas have an upright habit which makes them ideal for mass planting or as part of a mixed bed.

Floribunda roses carry their blooms in clusters of fully double flowers; the individual blooms tend to be smaller than Hybrid Teas. They are ideal for mass planting or as part of a mixed bed and repeat flower continuously throughout the summer. Floribundas are sometimes called Cluster Flowered Roses.

With the advances in modern rose breeding the line between Hybrid Teas and Floribunda is beginning to blur, with new varieties combining the best features from both classifications.

Modern Shrub Roses. The Mattocks range of modern shrub roses tend to be larger than Hybrid Teas or Floribundas with a more rounded spreading habit, making them ideal for planting in mixed borders. They produce varied blooms, from simple single flowers to large many petalled blooms and repeat flower continuously through the summer.
